About the Role: Superintendent Operations Planning & Support Embark on a permanent position with a 4:3 roster, either residential on Groote Eylandt or FIFO from Darwin/Cairns. Domestic relocation assistance to Groote Eylandt, Darwin, or Cairns is provided from anywhere in Australia. As the Superintendent Operations Planning & Support, you will play a pivotal role in the success of short planning and measurement services at GEMCO, an open-cut mine on Groote Eylandt. Take accountability for leading Survey and Short-Term mine planning teams, ensuring seamless integration with operations production teams. Leverage your technical expertise to coach mining engineers and surveyors and align day-to-day production with the annual budget forecast. Key Responsibilities:
Coach and lead a diverse team of mining engineers and surveyors in all aspects of mine planning and measurement services.
Deliver the weekly mine plan and associated planning tasks for mining and rehabilitation activities within the 90 Day forecast.
Ensure safe delivery of survey controls and UAV operations to support the mining operation.
Align short-term plans with medium and long-term strategy.
About You: Demonstrate capability and experience in:
Commitment to safety and continuous improvement, including process enhancement.
Bachelor of Engineering degree (Mining or Civil) or equivalent.
Working in large open-pit mining operations.
Understanding value drivers in large open-pit mining operations.
Proficiency in mine planning software packages.
