Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Location
Launceston or Burnie - to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Duties
Attend the Supreme Courts as required to assist in the effective presentation of criminal prosecutions.
Undertake a wide range of specialised clerical and administrative duties to support the efficient and effective delivery of services by the ODPP.
Collate, review and authorise payment of accounts for goods and services relating to criminal prosecutions, provide direction to Law Clerks in relation to accounts relating to criminal prosecutions, and enforce performance of the terms of an MOU between the ODPP and Police as payment of witness expenses.
Prepare reports on the results of criminal cases and arrange for the preparation of reports and other documentation required by the Supreme Court and the DPP.
Mentor, train and supervise Law Clerks and administrative staff in the Launceston and Burnie offices in all aspects of their duties to ensure the delivery of effective prosecution services, including allocating Law Clerks to support prosecutions.
Develop, implement and report on quality assurance measures for Law Clerks and administrative staff to ensure the consistent delivery of quality prosecution support services and the meeting of organisation timelines and objectives.
Assist with the listing preparation for Launceston and Burnie trial grids.
Essential Requirements
Current Tasmanian Drivers Licence

Desirable Requirements
