We are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team on the busy Afternoon Shift. This is a full-time position, responsible for shift operations Monday to Thursday from 3pm to 11.30pm and Friday from 12.30pm to 6.30pm, totaling 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Become part of our team as a Warehouse Supervisor promoting a secure and efficient warehouse environment, ensuring it aligns with production goals. Your role will involve:
- Guiding, motivating, and mentoring team leaders and a team of 50+ warehouse staff to ensure the secure and efficient functioning of the warehouse while achieving production goals.
- Overseeing the loading processes for both local and line haul freight, with a keen eye for accurate documentation and punctual despatch.
- Managing the essential tasks of picking and packing job lot orders for powder coat and surface finishing production, as well as replenishing aluminium profiles that run low during the day shift.
- Collaborating closely with the Production Manager to uphold a dynamic production system that amplifies operational efficiency and maintains quality benchmarks.
- Tracking inventory levels, performing routine stock checks, and coordinating with procurement to guarantee a steady supply.
- Championing a culture of safety and adherence to work health and safety regulations, swiftly implementing corrective measures as needed.
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a warehouse supervisor in a manufacturing setting.
Possess a comprehensive understanding of current workplace health and safety standards.
Effectively lead and motivate a large team to enhance productivity and achieve results.
Proficient in the use of warehouse management systems and related software.
Solid organisational and problem-solving skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
