As one of Australia's largest urban centres, Melbourne relies heavily on its water resources to sustain its population, industries, and ecosystems. The WTP project is designed to meet the growing demand for high-quality drinking water while ensuring the long-term sustainability of and resilience of the city's water supply systems.The scope of work includes the construction of five combined bioreactor-clarifier tanks and associated feed, waste activated sludge and effluent discharge pipeline connections along with ancillary buildings, pump stations and commissioning services.The proposed works will facilitate the elimination of current high-risk maintenance works and provide the opportunity to implement lower cost, more energy efficient treatment technology through the short cut nitrogen removal process.About the RoleJohn Holland have recently been awarded the Western Treatment Plant project based in Werribee, VIC.We're moving into delivery and are looking to engage with experienced Structures Supervisor to join our Civil and Structures team to deliver this key water infrastructure project.Key Responsibilities include:
- Managing scope of works to ensure site-based activities are planned and delivered in advance of their target date, providing smart, safe construction solutions.
- Ensure all site works are planned and delivered in compliance with required technical specifications, relevant legislation, approvals and standards and deed obligations.
- Management of subcontractors and internal workforce
- Ensuring that positive relationships are maintained with internal and external stakeholders are developed
- An absolute commitment to Safety, ensuring OH&S requirements and risk controls are considered in all construction planning and processes.
- Experience working in a Civil and Structures Supervisory position within the relevant industry.
- Understanding of contemporary methodology and production delivery within key activities including piling, bulk and detailed excavation, rock bolting, piling, bridge and concrete structures.
- Appreciation of the importance of 'One Team' understanding the importance of partnering with project support teams such as Safety, Quality, Community and Environment.
- Ability to engage with and communicate at all levels driving positive outcomes
- Strong relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Show an appreciation of commercial issues and understanding of representing the project's best interests at all times.
