Role Details
The Department for Child Protection is seeking aSupervisor to join the Court Services and Liaisonteam on a full-time term basis.
The role is responsible for:
- Supervising the response to notifications of child abuse and outcomes of investigations as referred by the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
- Utilising relevant assessment frameworks and evidence-based research to inform good social work and culturally inclusive practice.
- Providing a range of services to achieve outcomes of safety, security and care of children, young people and their families.
- Building partnerships with other agencies and groups so that there is increased capacity to respond to identified needs and risk manage issues.
About You
We are looking for a confident leader who will actively promoteprofessional social work practice in their team and will developand lead staff to achieve quality results.
A demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verballyand in writing will allow you to develop and maintain productiveworking relationships with key stakeholders.
You will have proven experience in supervising a team, managingand prioritising workloads, conflict resolution and have theability to lead culturally competent and diverse practice.

Essential:
AHP: A degree level qualification in SocialWork which gives eligibility for full membership of the AustralianAssociation of Social Workers.
Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanderdescent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do nothave the essential qualification, may apply for and beengaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitledto apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring aqualification in Social Work within the Department for ChildProtection (DCP).
