Supervisor Cranes & Belts – Cape Lambert

About the role

Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs.

We have a rare and exciting opportunity available for a Supervisor to join the well renowned Cranes & Belts department, to deliver safe and timely execution of cranes transport and conveyer maintenance requirements for our Cape Lambert Port operation.

This role is perfect for an enthusiastic, safety conscious leader who will provide onsite leadership, development, and support to the crane & transport operators, whilst driving safety excellence and a supportive team culture.

Working closely with various site operational and maintenance teams to provide effective and efficient crane and conveyor belt maintenance solutions, your demonstrated ability to engage, connect and positively influence key stakeholders at all organizational levels will prove valuable to the effectiveness in this role.

What you’ll bring

  • Be proactive with a commitment in driving a safe and inclusive team culture
  • Have leadership experience and be confident in leading, developing and coaching team members
  • Have excellent stakeholder engagement
  • Understanding of conveyor maintenance process and safe working practices
  • Have technical knowledge and experience from a similar role
  • Experience with budget and cost management
  • Current Australian manual drivers’ licence
  • Experience in the cranage and heavy transport industry, and or,
  • Experience in the conveyor belt industry is highly desirable

Where you’ll be working

Our port facilities consist of four shipping terminals located on the Pilbara coast at Dampier and Cape Lambert which form an essential part of our logistics process. Each terminal has facilities for train unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading.

The successful candidate (if residential) will be required to reside in Wickham.
