Supervisor - Design

BEC Engineering is a well-established and respected Electrical, Power and Control Systems Engineering Services firm located in West Perth.

We are currently involved in a range of projects both within Australia and internationally, and with further excellent projects in the pipeline, we are inviting applications for a Supervisor - Electrical Design / Drafting to join the team. 

The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of timely electrical design and drafting support to the engineering teams. 

The Supervisor will have a dual responsibility of personally delivering high quality electrical design support and guiding the design teams activities. 

Specifically, the Supervisor will:

• Have the primary responsibility as an electrical designer. 
• Support, guide and motivate the drafting team. 
• Assure project and design / drafting quality. 
• Work with engineering teams and quality assurance to establish and maintain high standards of workmanship. 
• Communicate team capacity and to meet demands and organization goals. 

Key Requirements

To be successful in the role applicants will:

• Have at least 10 - 15 years working as electrical engineering designer / draftsman. 
• Solid design skills with AutoCAD and Microstation.
• Have experience managing a small drafting team. 
• Have supported multiple engineering teams and be skilled at balancing priorities and tasking requirements. 
• Familiarity and experience supporting minerals and materials handling projects desirable. 
• Commercial awareness
• Have excellent interpersonal and communications skills – written and spoken.
