- Ensure Emergency Services resources (people, equipment, policies, procedures, standards and plans) meet business needs, based on risk principles and legislative requirements.
- Develop and maintain effective networks through collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Define performance expectations for Emergency Services Officers, monitor performance including conducting formal appraisals and implementing corrective and improvement initiatives.
- Identify risks associated with emergencies and liaise with stakeholders and customers to develop action plans and implement controls (identify areas for improvement and execute business improvement methodologies).
- Lead and manage Critical Risk Management (CRM) within Emergency Services.
- Certificate IV in Health Care (Ambulance)
- Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue
- Respond to wildfire
- Alcohol and Other Drugs Collector
- A current C class drivers licence
- Ability to lead and manage people
- Experience in development and implementation of emergency service policy, procedures, plans and protocols.
- Experience in communicating and influencing across multiple leadership levels
- Postgraduate Certificate or Bachelor of Business; or
- Bachelor of Paramedical Science or Nursing
- AIIMS Incident Management
- Business Improvement certification (e.g. lean six sigma)
