We have a residential position available where you can join our dynamic Electrical Maintenance team! Take charge of coordinating and supervising electrical personnel in maintaining, calibrating, and installing within our Copper Smelter. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead and report directly to the Electrical Superintendent, ensuring safety and efficiency in all electrical operations. - Ensuring electrical safety and statutory compliance
- Strategically planning and controlling maintenance operations to maximize resource utilization
- Providing support to the Mechanical and Operational teams for seamless collaboration
- Spearheading the completion of Operational and Capital electrical projects
- Supervision of electrical contractors to ensure efficient project execution
- Effectively managing your crews performance to maintain high standards
- Overseeing shutdown work with precision and efficiency
- Conducting regular compliance audits and workplace inspections to uphold standards
- Cultivating and nurturing an effective team through coaching and personnel role modelling
- Identifying and implementing electrical continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency

- Embrace safety as a core personal value
- Trade qualification – Electrician with an equivalent Queensland Electrical Mechanic Licence
- Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of post-trade experience in an operating fixed plant process environment or similar
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Project, Excel, and Word at an intermediate level
- Exhibit the ability to thrive within an integrated and diverse team, even amidst challenging deadlines
- Capable of overseeing contracting teams and managing small projects
- Demonstrate strong decision-making skills, a commitment to meeting deadlines, high standards of work quality, and exceptional communication skills (both oral and written)
- Highly organized with effective time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Yokogawa DCS programming and PLC programming
- 'Previous experience in a similar role focused on fixed plant maintenance
- Familiarity with shift breakdowns and troubleshooting
- Possession of S1, S2, S3 qualifications
- SAP experience for efficient maintenance management
