About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity within our Construction & Maintenance team! The City is looking for a community-minded individual to be our next Supervisor - Engineering Drainage.

This position will lead and supervise a drainage construction team (staff and contractors) to undertake quality drainage construction and maintenance, as safely as possible to improve the quality of life for our community.

You will ensure that engineering activities are undertaken in an efficient and cost-effective manner with a focus on safety, best work practices, productivity targets and providing feedback to workplace teams.

You will be proficient in the use of computers, program planning and ensuring quality works are undertaken as efficiently and cost effectively as possible and within budget constraints. 

You will be solutions driven with an ability to empower teams to continue to improve service delivery for the community.

About you

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Formal qualifications in Civil Engineering (Degree or Diploma) or practical experience in road and drainage construction
  • Current ‘C’ Class Motor Vehicle Licence
  • Safety Awareness Training Certificate (White Card)
  • A satisfactory National Police Certificate is required.

The salary for this position will be from $87,898 to $103,784 per annum, depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
