About the Fleet Management Team:
The Logistics Operations Team provides a range of Heavy Vehicles, plant and equipment for internal wet or dry hire to the internal areas of Council. As well as sourcing external vehicle, plant and equipment hire for Council when internal resources are not sufficient or available. The team works closely with our Multiskilled Plant Operators to ensure a high level of customer service is provided on job sites.
About the position:
The Supervisor Heavy Vehicles and Plant will be responsible for leading and supervising plant operators in providing high quality, cost effective and efficient heavy vehicle and plant hire services to internal customer branches. This position will work towards delivering a best practice business to deliver efficiency and value to our customers at Council and to continuously improve safety performance and culture.
- This is a permanent full-time position based at the Charlton Depot.
- The annual salary range for this position is $77,223.52 - $82,594.58 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.

Qualification(s), training and/or experience, specific to the role:
- WHS Competency (White Card) for CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, or equivalent, or a willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
- Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
- Current ‘HR’ Driver’s Licence is desirable.
- Certificate III and IV in Civil Construction or Logistics is desirable.
- A combination of experience, qualifications and competence in the civil construction and maintenance field, or fleet and logistics field, which enables the applicant to perform the duties of the position.
- TLIF0009 - Ensure the safety of transport activities (Chain of Responsibility) unit competency, or a willingness to obtain this within three (3) months of commencement.
- TLIF0014 - Monitor the safety of transport activities (Chain of Responsibility) unit competency, or a willingness to obtain within six (6) months of commencement.
