Work Location: Hedland - Port Residential only
Roster: 8 Days / 6 Off / 7 nights / 7 off
Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent this shift maintenance position offers a key leadership role for our Port Mechanical team. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of Mechanical Maintenance
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and overseeing maintenance strategies, associated systems and repair activities to ensure the efficient reliability of all plant structures and equipment.
- Providing leadership and direction to mechanical maintainers during maintenance activities and compliance to work schedule.
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that work is well planned, scheduled and resources
- Embedding safe work practices to build a safety conscious culture within all maintenance activities onsite.
- Conduct preventative maintenance according to site requirements & trouble shoot machines and equipment
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience within the fixed plant maintenance
- Engineering or trade qualification is a must, candidates with significant conveyor maintenance experience also highly regarded.
- High level communication skills
- Competent user of computerised maintenance management systems - SAP & Microsoft Project
- Ability to develop quality risk assessments, CRAW, JHA, SWMS, etc
- Demonstrated high level of leadership skills, particularly in high intensity environment.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with a high attention to detail
- Ability to work with other departments to achieve objectives, team oriented.
- Proven commitment to principles of safety and zero harm
