This role sits within our Asset Maintenance department. The Asset Maintenance department is responsible for the maintenance and renewal of Council’s assets throughout the region. The areas of responsibility are primarily Roads and Drains, Parks, Cleansing, Construction, Fleet and Building and Facilities infrastructure. The Asset Maintenance department is one of the largest departments within Council, maintaining essential community infrastructure across the Moreton Bay region.
The role
Your responsibilities will include supervising the day to day operations of assigned Trees crews and coordination of subcontractors engaged on maintenance projects when required. You will be required to assess customer requests received from internal and external customers relating to the maintenance within the region and allocating work crews on a priority basis.
The Supervisor Operations responsibilities also include developing short and long term work programs, including resource allocation and assist to develop, program and implement annual maintenance programs and running of schedules. In addition to this, you will also be assisting management in developing the annual budget, annual plant and equipment request submissions, policies, procedures and guidelines.
Requirements
You will hold an MR class driver's license, Construction Induction Card, Diploma in Arboriculture or other relevant qualification, Certificate of competency in maintaining chainsaws and trimming and cutting felled trees and certificate of competency in felling small trees and currently possess (or be willing to obtain within 6 months of commencement) an Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control (ACDC) certification.

Remuneration: $80,265 pa + super (76 hour fortnight) + any applicable allowances
