The role also focusses on creating and maintaining a high performing team culture, is sensitive to, and promotes, cultural diversity and acceptance; while ensuring the services adheres to the principles and objectives of the Disability Service Standards (DSS) and another appropriate legislative requirements.Essential Selection Criteria
- Qualifications (Certificate IV in Disability Work, Mental Health or equivalent) or experience in the sector.
- Well developed and effective communication, numerical and interpersonal skills with the capability to engage and develop strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrates the ability to develop, lead and manage teams effectively.
- Ability to prioritise and problem solve complex situations.
- Competent with using CIMS, Microsoft Office suite particularly MS Word and MS Outlook.
- Covid 19 Vaccinated
- Australian Drivers Licence
- First Aid certificate or the willingness to get one within the on boarding stage.
- Current NSW Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Flexibility to work within a service that provides daily care, this may include and will depend on the site some weekend work, after school care service, respite care all within a fortnightly roster.
- Certificate IV or above in Community Services or other relevant qualification.
- Demonstrated understanding in the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) processes.
- Mental Health First Aid.
