Whether you are looking to hike up one of Western Australia’s highest peaks (Bluff Knoll), walk amongst the giants in the famous tree top walk or get up close and personal with majestic whales, the Great Southern has it all and is the idyllic location to start your next adventure.Don’t take our word for it, click to see the video:Why we need youThis position presents a unique opportunity for qualified and experienced candidate to join Main Roads as Works Supervisor in the Great Southern Region to supervise the delivery of road and bridge works by Direct Management and Minor Capital Works.You will ensure that works are undertaken in accordance with technical specifications and undertake inspections and audits of completed works and provide advice and assistance in the preparation and progress of key plans and programs for the Region.In addition, you will undertake network inspections and provide advice to assist in the preparation and prioritisation of the Ten-Year Network Delivery Program (10YNDP) along with inspections of structural assets to assist in the preparation of the Bridge Preventive Maintenance Program (BPMP) in the Ten -Year Network Delivery Program (10YNDP).Your assistance in the management of incidents and emergency response in accordance with the Regional Incident Management Plans and support for the management of events will be part of your responsibility.To be successful you will be:
- experienced in road and/or bridge construction and maintenance
- experienced in pavement construction, bituminous surfacing and asphalting processes and techniques
- demonstrate the ability to supervise resources
- a highly motivated individual who thrives on a challenge
- a good communicator with an ability work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.

- Supervision, including the supervision of employee behaviour, performance and development.
