The Position
The Supervisor Systems & Collections will work collaboratively with the Principal Library & Museum Services, Librarians and Library teams taking a lead role in the provision, development and support of library and museum systems and collections across the Cassowary Coast region. The role will include support for further studies and professional development opportunities.
About You
You will have an ALIA-recognised Diploma in Library and Information Services, or a minimum of three years’ experience and a commitment to gain a Diploma in Library and Information Services or relevant tertiary qualification and experience in managing systems and collections. You have demonstrated experience in the delivery of excellent customer service, the ability to supervise, lead and train others and knowledge in developing and administering collection management principles, including hands-on cataloguing and acquisitions activities.
You have a proven ability in administering and troubleshooting technological systems and equipment, a high proficiency in Microsoft Office programs along with high proficiency in Library Management Systems. Additionally, you have well-developed strategic planning and organisational skills with the ability to work independently, work on multiple tasks, determine priorities and meet deadlines.
