Boeing Supplier Quality is currently looking for an up-and-coming Supplier Quality Representative to join their team in Adelaide, Australia. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defence and Space (BDS) business organization and is a great opportunity for someone wanting to grow within the Quality space.

This is a field representative position responsible for supporting suppliers in Adelaide, Australia as a Supplier Quality Representative. However, additional travel may be required to support suppliers throughout Australia, Europe, Middle East and the Asia Pacific Region. The position will require a highly self-motivated individual, capable of being self-directed with minimal supervision. Due to the global nature of the Quality team, the position will require a willingness to facilitate and attend conference calls in multiple time zones, working in shifts as part of a global team.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support duties and responsibilities assigned by management related Supplier Quality profile
  • Major responsibility is inspection and assessment of products produced from the aerospace and defense supply base
  • Assist with audits and assessments of supplier's systems, processes and products and also involve in documenting the audit and assessment results and in RCCA
  • Monitor and report Supplier Quality related performance status for the supply base
  • Position requires the implementation of Supplier Quality management processes including assessment of supplier capability, capacity and management of supplier performance in the technical areas of quality, schedule, performance and work statement compliance
  • Maintain quality, stability and flow for multiple programs in a fast paced and challenging environment from the Supplier Quality side and work cross-functionally with many different job disciplines at supplier/customers
  • The position will require a willingness to facilitate and attend extra hours conference calls, working in shifts as part of a global team, etc. Excellent English language skills are essential.
  • Candidate must meet the requirements of Boeing Visual Standards for Product Acceptance, tested annually

What you might bring:

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree or diploma in Engineering is desirable with 3 to 5 relevant years of experience
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in QMS/APQP covering commodities namely assembly, machining, composite, special processes, structural assembly and wire assemblies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, program management and quality management skills are essential to communicate with all stakeholders including factory customers, supplier management, engineering and all levels of supplier personnel.
  • Ability to establish good personal relationships and outstanding team-building skills in a multi-cultural and diverse environment.
  • Work experience in aerospace manufacturing environment like Aero structural assembly, composites, machine parts, wire assemblies etc. with experience in manufacturing/process engineering/inspection is highly regarded
  • Experience in handling Model based definition engineering data
