Supply and Inventory Planner
About the Role
This pivotal position involves overseeing all Supply and Inventory planning activities for the region, while also supporting the coordination of key operational activities and ensuring the implementation of best practices in Supply and Inventory Planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement: Handling local and offshore transactions for logistics, 3PL, and consumables
- Inventory Management: Providing oversight from goods receipt to saleable items
- Daily Operations: Facilitating cycle counts and managing goods movement for finished goods, raw materials, WIP, and packaging
- Freight Handling: Collaborating with freight forwarders, generating shipment reports, and ensuring completion
- Stock Reconciliation: Managing stock levels at 3PL warehouses
- Import/Export and Transfers: Supervising accuracy and confirmation of import/export volumes and interstate stock transfers
- Sample Requests: Initiating and processing sample requests
- Annual Stock Take: Coordinating and reporting on the annual stock take
- Reporting: Preparing weekly and monthly Cycle Count reports
- Discrepancy Resolution: Identifying, investigating, and resolving stock discrepancies
- Process Improvement: Implementing improvements to eliminate waste
- Data Analysis: Analysing data for supply chain operations improvement
- Continuous Improvement: Driving initiatives for operational excellence
- Project Support: Assisting various projects within the Supply Chain domain
Essential Skills & Experience
- Supply Chain Management: Proven expertise in procurement, logistics, and Inventory planning
- Inventory Planning: Strong proficiency in demand forecasting, stock replenishment, and optimising stock levels
- Operational Coordination: Demonstrated ability to coordinate key operational activities for seamless collaboration
- Best Practices Implementation: Experience in implementing and maintaining best practices for efficiency and accuracy
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data-driven decision-making
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing business needs and a dynamic supply chain environment
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with supply chain management software, ERP systems, and relevant technology tools
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory management and order fulfillment
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: Commitment to continuously improve processes, reduce costs, and optimise supply chain performance
