AddressOur client, a leading distribution company based in Smithfield, is looking for an Inventory planning specialist to support planning, analysis, strategies to support market with sufficient stoking and reduction in back order. This position will be supporting APAC Inventory Strategy and also working closely with the Sales and Marketing teams. This is a hybrid role with 3-4 days WFH.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Proactive review the status of high value backorder number
- Handling the commercial/ customer service enquiries related to stock availability and stock status
- Manage purchase order and good supplier relationship with local source suppliers.
- Check the Best delivery date with suppliers.
- Drive continuous improvement project to define solutions for backorder reduction and order availability (OA) performance.
- Generate Daily/Weekly/Monthly Inventory report for the commercial
- Coordinate inventory redeployment for back-order fulfilment.
- Responsible maintain planning policy.
- Steer the commercial team to reduce BED stock and collaborate with different function / process review to reduce the risk on BED Inventory
- Prepare monthly Supply review meeting presentation deck.
- Manage purchase orders and maintain good supplier relationship with local source suppliers.
- Prepare the deck and lead country IM/commercial meeting on monthly basis to align Inventory Management strategy.
Essential:
- International Supply Chain Planning/Inventory experience (minimum 2 years)
- Good communication skills
- Effective Team player who is also able to self motivate as this is a hybrid role
- Good analytical skills
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent knowledge of Blue Yonder (or SAP and Manugistics as applicable)
- Good command of English
- Positive and Energetic
- Target oriented, self-motivated, ability to work under strong pressure.
- Ability to challenge status quo and drive for high performance.
Desirable:
- Mandarin speaking an added advantage but not necessary.
