Your new role
The Micro-X Supply Chain Team Member will be responsible for organising the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of warehoused goods for Micro-X assembly and manufacturing facilities. Responsibilities will include:
- Provide a safe warehouse work environment ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation while meeting Micro-X 5S procedural requirements.
- Co-ordinate warehouse activities, including incoming component inspection, finished goods and spare parts packaging and related storage activities.
- Managing shipment of goods and communications with customers, freight forwarders and supplies.
- Create and maintain instruction documentation for standard warehouse processes.
- Comply with Micro-X Quality System including participating in internal audits.
- Process receipt documents in ERP system for all incoming goods.
- Maintain tools and equipment.
- Focus on continuous improvement opportunities.
- Implement and maintain visual management process for designated items.
- Ordering suppliers and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
- Manage storage racking, taking into consideration layout efficiency, accessibility, bulk storage, and component pick faces.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Experience in Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain or similar.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations.
- Proven ability of successfully working towards deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Solid work ethic with great attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with warehouse inventory software.
- Access to a motor vehicle and driver’s license is essential.
- A forklift license is essential.
