We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our Dandenong Team. This is a full-time position working a minimum of 38 hours per week, plus overtime as required.
The Role
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor’s primary focus is to:
- Accept responsibility for the entire operation of the warehouse
- Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by organising and directing Warehouse staff as required
- Coach Warehouse staff to ensure quality customer service is provided at all times which fosters growth and repeat business
- Provide strong leadership and management to all Warehouse employees including recruitment, performance management, coaching, training and personal development
- Promote teamwork between Sales, Warehouse and other site staff to ensure all are working to a common goal of exceeding customer expectations
- Oversee a clean and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements in the day to day operation in the key areas of Safety and the Award
- Execute business directives that support the business strategy
- Ensure Warehouse operations are always compliant with Company policies and procedures
- Represent the Company Directors as a leader of the organization
In summary, the Warehouse Supervisor is a key person in the organisation and is responsible for providing the structure and discipline to the Branch’s Warehouse operations, and is focused on achieving high levels of productivity and efficiency within a safe working environment.
The Applicant
The Ideal Candidate will be able to demonstrate that following:
- Demonstrated warehouse experience in manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated people and leadership skills
- Knowledge of operations in similar environment
- Medium level knowledge of Microsoft Office, Sage and general ERP systems
- Stock and Inventory Control experience
- Current Forklift License
- Current Driver’s License
