Supply Clerk Trainee

East Grampians Health Service are seeking applications from interested applicants for a full time Supply Clerk Traineeship position in our Supply Department.

The Supply Clerk Trainee will perform duties of a procurement and stock management nature to assist in the efficient functioning of the Supply Department.  This will be a shared role with East Wimmera Health Service and will require travel to other campuses on a weekly basis.

Duties involved in this position are listed below but not exclusive to:

• Use of Oracle systems to manage the movement of stock
• Ensuring all supply queries are attended to in accordance with guidelines
• Ensuring the requirements of the Health Service are met with regard to best value and quality
• Assess stock requirements and appropriately advise on availability bearing in mind quality, cost and standardisation
• Ensure smooth flow of the system beginning from assessing needs to authorisation and distribution
• Sorting and distribution of stock to relevant departments
• Comply with EGHS protocols for the avoidance of over or under supply
• Maintain computerised stock records

You will be a team player with strong communications skills, a positive attitude and a strong customer service focus.  Applicants should be willing to undertake onsite and external training aimed at developing the skills necessary to complete the varied duties.
