Supply Operations Officer

A full-time opportunity for a Supply Operations Officer to join Hobart’s Supply Operations team!

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Supply Operations Officer, you will be working on a full-time basis in our Hobart office, reporting to the Supply Operations Supervisor.  We’re looking for a motivated problem solver, who is detail and task focused, can multitask, and thrives in a challenging work environment. You will complete a range of duties from managing freight disruptions to planning the harvest of Salmon.

Key duties include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinate freight space bookings for export shipments with external freight forwarders.
• Manage and effectively communicate domestic freight disruption with internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate vessel bookings and daily truck movements with local transport carrier.
• Work closely with the Planning team on fish sizing updates.
• Communicate upcoming fish size with the Sales and Customer Service Teams.
• Plan the harvest of Salmon to meet Sales requirements across all sales channels.
• Review and plan ahead to harvest & processing capacities.
• Monitor processing at our Parramatta Creek facility to ensure order fulfilment.

ABOUT YOU

• Demonstrated experience and sound knowledge in Planning, Freight or Logistics.
• Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
• Proficient computer knowledge with proven experience using the Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to adapt and deal with fast-paced change and complexity.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• A proactive focus on continually looking to improve processes.
• Flexibility to work varied hours Mon-Fri, work on Public Holidays and rotational weekends on-call.
