About the role:

An opportunity is available for an experienced Supply Planner – Salami & Smallgoods to join the Planning Team at the Primo Wacol facility in a permanent full-time capacity.

This role will work alongside a team of Planners who specialize in dedicated categories. This role will maintain a rolling 13-week master production schedule, anticipating and maintaining optimum inventory levels to ensure service levels are maintained and costs are kept to a minimum.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop, execute and communicate a Master Production Schedule with a focus to manage and link sales requirements with operational capability.
  • Understand material and capacity constraints within 104 weeks, focus in a 13-week horizon and provide feedback to stakeholders around predicted failures due to demand, supply or other changes.
  • Maintain service levels by ensuring the Primo Inventory Policy is set, implemented and routinely reviewed.
  • Contribute to the ongoing refinement of the planning process, ensuring that the process is adapting to a changing environment.
  • Develop and monitor feasible production schedules taking into consideration production constraints such as line capacity, labour, batch sizes, run rates, bottlenecks, downtime, capacity and storage restrictions.
  • Participate in the IBP process, helping build longer term plans and overcoming constraints.
  • Interact with commercial teams to shape demand when store order requirements cannot be met by helping to suggest and evaluate alternatives such as removing promotions or lessening promotional activity.
  • Work with operations to resolve manufacturing efficiency issues or production information as requested by operations, sales or finance.
  • Understand, maintain and execute planning parameters within planning systems.
  • Run the supply review within the IBP process ensuring long, medium- and short-term capacity requirements are communicated within the business.
  • Drive effective communication with all stakeholders, supported by factual reporting and analysis.
  • Create cost contingency plans and scenarios, supported by the operational and finance teams.
  • Follow communication, QA, SLOB, production changes time fence, throughput, chiller stocks, std agenda procedures.

About you:

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality customer service, providing customers with options and solutions.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Solid understanding of the production process, capacity planning, and scheduling techniques including master production schedules
  • Solid understanding of Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Integrated Tactical Planning and Demand Management
  • Ability to articulate key metrics and root causes of performance to stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of supply chain planning.
  • Competent in industry technology software and proficient in Microsoft Office Product
  • Strong ability to communicate across a variety of communication settings by translating and articulating technical concepts to non-technical groups.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within and across teams.
  • Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work well under pressure through strong organisational skills.
