Karora Resources is a Canadian owned, multi-asset gold producer with operations across the Goldfields region of Western Australia. Our producing mining operations of Beta Hunt and Higginsville are supported by two processing facilities, one on site at Higginsville and our Lakewood plant located in Kalgoorlie, providing a combined processing capacity of 2.6Mtpa.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Based role at our Beta Hunt Operations in Kambalda and reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient management of the Sites warehousing facilities. This includes receiving, distribution and storage of company goods in accordance with organisational standard and statutory requirements. The role is also supervising the Supply Officers onsite for the day-to-day operation.

  • Ensure safe and efficient operation of the warehouse, handling and storage of goods (including Dangerous Goods), inventory control, PPE, and refuelling operations as well as compliance checks and regulatory procedures
  • Carry out safety interactions to ensure company’s compliance requirements
  • Manage the efficient and timely process of warehouse issued requisitions and receipts
  • Facilitate toolbox and safety meetings as deemed appropriate to the department
  • Monitor systems and business processes applicable to the role, identify and prioritise improvement opportunities and formulate alternatives and improvements to systems and methods
  • Provide coaching and feedback to team members throughout the year
  • Engage and support key stakeholders, understand their needs and how this impacts the supply chain for the company. Be able to pivot and action their needs without losing sight of supply & logistics priorities
  • Liaise with all stakeholders, internal and external to ensure parts are staged or delivered in accordance with requirements
  • Ensure a high level of inventory integrity within the warehouse through correct receipting, issuing, maintaining and stocktaking regime of incoming, outgoing and stored goods
  • Assist the Procurement Superintendent with the planning and execution of the mobilisation and demobilisation of supply & logistics components
  • Lead and support the implementation of change management initiatives and other business improvement projects

ABOUT YOU

  • Current “C” Class Western Australian driver’s licence
  • Experience in developing Stores systems and teams from the ground up
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining industry.
  • Working knowledge of Pronto, INX and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • High risk LF (forklift Licence)
  • Knowledge of stock storage requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, integrity, and ethical behaviour along with values that are aligned to the business
  • Excellent change management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Possesses a solid work ethic and strong desire to do things safely and efficiently
  • Is self-directed and self-motivated, demonstrating initiative to do more than is expected or required in the position
  • Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment
  • Proven Leadership skills
