Franmarine is a successful and rapidly growing WA owned and operated small/medium enterprise (SME) that specialises in delivery of underwater services to Defence, Infrastructure and Resource industries.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Support Team Manager to oversee and lead our Support Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimising support across all areas of the business. This role requires a strong leader who can effectively supervise the team, ensure operational efficiency, and maintain high-quality service delivery.
Main Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of administrative professionals across multiple functions.
Service Delivery: Ensure timely and accurate delivery of Support Team services, including reception duties, project administration support, sales process support, safety administration support and finance team support.
Operational Efficiency: Implement and optimise processes to enhance efficiency and streamline operations within the Support Team function.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments to support their operational needs and ensure seamless coordination of activities.
Supervision and Training: Provide ongoing supervision, training, and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Performance Management: Set clear performance objectives and KPIs for the team, monitor performance, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Resource Management: Manage resource allocation, including staffing levels, workload distribution, and budgetary control within the Support Team function.
Technology Integration: Leverage technology solutions to optimise service delivery and enhance the efficiency of administrative processes.
Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, while maintaining high standards of service quality.
East and West Coast Operations: Balance the needs of operations across both the East and West coasts of Australia, ensuring consistent service delivery and support
Other duties may include:
Tender Management, Australian Industry Capability Reporting, Grant Application Support, Client Relationship Management, Documentation Development and Review.
Skills and Competencies
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a Support Team or shared services environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with a focus on prioritisation and multitasking.
- Sound knowledge of administrative processes, systems, and best practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and locations.
- Ability to obtain or already holds a Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance is an advantage.
- Experience in the marine or maritime industry (desirable but not essential).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
