Qualifications & experience
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or a related field (or currently studying towards).
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of the NDIS framework and principles.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Client-Centred Support: Develop and implement individualized support plans in collaboration with clients, their families, and support teams.
- Personal Care: Provide assistance with daily living activities, including grooming, hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration, as required.
- Community Participation: Support clients in accessing and participating in community activities, social outings, and recreational programs.
- Goal Achievement: Assist clients in setting and working towards their NDIS goals, including skill development, employment, and independent living.
- Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, NDIS policies, and relevant training to enhance your skills and knowledge.
