About the Role:
- As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of individuals over the age of 65 in the West Tamar community and surrounding areas
- Experience variety by visiting clients in their homes within the West Tamar region covering areas from Riverside to Greens Beach . Travel up to an hour may be required.
- Enjoy secure permanent part-time employment with guaranteed hours of up to 25 hours per fortnight, this may be more depending on your availability.
- Receive a base hourly rate of $29.50 plus superannuation and eligibility for not-for-profit salary packaging.
Who We’re Looking for :
We are seeking compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated individuals who have a genuine passion for helping others with a key focus to provide high-quality person-centred care across all facets of support services along such as personal care showering, grooming, dressing and feeding.
To do so you will need to have the following:
- Understanding of and a passion for working with the elderly
- Minimum of Cert III Individual Support (or equivalent)
- Medication assist module is desirable
- Current drivers licence
- A registered, reliable, and comprehensively insured motor vehicle
- Confidence in using different forms of technology such as a smart phone or tablet
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willing to obtain
- A current National Police Check or willingness to obtain
- Flexible approach to your availability and open to being rostered within work hours of 7.00 am - 6.00 pm, Monday to Friday- Availability on a Thursday is essential for this role.
