Job Description
As a Support Worker, you will be tasked to support individuals living with ongoing psychosocial, emotional and practical support needs. Your scope of work will involve supporting participants' independent living in their homes and assisting them in accessing the community. We support our participants 24/7 and have shifts that include sleepovers and active overnight shifts.
Duties could include:
- Following the participant's care plan, supporting clients to live independently in their homes and the community
- Assisting with medications and other healthcare-related needs within your scope of work
- Assisting participants in attending their appointments
- Assisting with personal care
- Assisting participants with daily living activities such as cooking meals, cleaning, and shopping
Skills and Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistant, Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), Certificate IV in Mental Health, Certificate III in Aged Care, or studying towards an Allied Health profession-related degree or postgraduate qualification
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Current full driver’s licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module, NDIS Induction Modules, NDIS Zero Tolerance to Violence Training, and Assisting with Medication Training; or willingness to undergo training
Additional Requirements
- Working With Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or eligibility to apply for one
- Valid Australian working rights
- Police check
- Confidence using basic technology, including email and phone apps
