Provide support to Participants living with complex trauma, mental health, and psycho-social disabilities. Day to day support to participants help Participants to build their capacity and work towards meeting their goals and aspirations.

We are seeking experienced female Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis. In this role you will be in Cardiff working with a female participant who has experienced intergenerational and complex trauma, PTSD and who has Complex Mental health issues. You are a positive role model who can build safe connections and attachments built on respect and engagement, are a great listener who exhibits compassion, empathy, and trust with participants.
Sleep over shifts are a requirement of this role. Your flexibility across a 24/7 roster will help provide consistent, holistic support for the participant. We will work with you to create a work/life balanced roster.

Skills and Experience
- Certificate IV in Community Service/Disability Services or equivalent qualification with equivalent experience in the disability or mental health, OOHC sectors
- A responsible attitude and strong rapport building skills – strong skills in maintaining positive, dignified and respectful relationships with participants, their families and other health and Support Workers
- Ability to use clear and concise language in verbal communication and set clear boundaries
- Demonstrated ability to calmly de-escalate emotive situations
- Ability to apply understanding of ‘duty of care’ to delivering support services and escalate issues when required
- Demonstrated ability to write and maintain accurate written records and documentation
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
