Our Home Care services (CHSP and HCP) empower older people to live safely within their own homes whilst enjoying as much independence as possible. You will provide individualised care tailored to the needs of each client and their families.
Primary responsibilities:
- Meal assistance, including shopping, meal preparation and help with eating
- Transport and accompaniment, including shopping trips and appointments
- Social support & activities, including outings and social activities
- Personal care, including assistance with personal grooming, hygiene, bathing, dressing
- Provide support for health conditions, including skin care, medication reminders and diabetes management
- Assistance with mobility
- Domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry
What you will need:
- A kind, caring and respectful approach to service provision
- Certificate III in Aged Care / Individual Support (or similar) or equivalent experience
- Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in both a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work with individuals from a range of social, financial and cultural backgrounds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Current driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Australian work rights
- Current national police check (not older than 6 months)
- Prior experience in a similar role in the community/home care (desirable) or Disability/Residential care
- First Aid Certificate (desirable)
