Avivo are looking for experienced Support Workers to support customers to remain living in their own home and stay connected to the community. This Kelmscott team works across a range of shifts and are required to work either early mornings, during the day, occasional overnight and weekend supports . We will provide you with all the training required for this position, all you need is a positive can-do attitude!
Duties will include:- Domestic assistance - general maintenance of the customer's home
- Social support including assistance with trips in and around the community
- Regular communication and engagement with your local team
On the job training and buddy shifts are provided to the successful candidates to develop competency across a broad range of skills!
You'll need:
- A valid driver's licence and a reliable vehicle (essential)
- Ability to facilitate people to develop and sustain their own social connections and relationships
- Good understanding of strength based practice and how to apply it
- Excellent communication skills and a can do attitude to help ensure our customers receive flexible and individualised support
- Availability to attend mandatory and paid training during the week
- Current NDIS Worker Screening check or willingness to obtain one
- Flexible availability to provide various supports between Mondays & Fridays, 8am - 8pm and with the option to work extra hours.
