About the Role:In April 2022, the NSW Government announced the establishment of temporary housing sites to accommodate the urgent housing needs emerging from the February 2022 storms and floods in the Northern Rivers region of NSW.
NRH was awarded the contract by the NSW Government to manage the temporary housing sites - delivering tenancy management and site maintenance - across a number of local government areas in the Northern Rivers. Sites host a variety of housing units to accommodate various household sizes and will have varying maximum occupancy rates.
Reporting to the Group Manager, the objective of the Support Worker is to provide support, information and advice to people through a range of people-centred services. The Support Worker will liaise with the supports in place with any resident that needs assistance during their stay in the NRH Community Village.
There are currently opportunities to secure positions at the Kingscliff and Ballina NRH Community Villages or join our Talent Pool for any fixed term, full-time vacancies that arise over the coming 12 months.
About You:
We are looking for someone experienced in working with vulnerable people and delivering a responsive service to people with complex needs.
Qualifications will include:
- Cert III in relevant industry qualification and/or significant relevant experience
- Working with Children Check and a valid National Police Check or willingness to obtain this
- Possession of an unrestricted NSW driver’s licence.
