Community Care Tasmania is a not for profit focusing on providing compassionate care and support, enabling our clients to thrive at home with Dignity. We are seeking two dedicated and qualified Support Workers in the Scottsdale region to provide one on one home care support to clients accessing Aged Care or NDIS services.
In this role you will work closely with clients to assist them to continue to live in their own home. You will be part of a growing and exciting team and supported with enthusiastic training and administrative support. You will be part of team that cares and puts its clients first. The dynamic nature of our services, coupled with the chance to work with multiple clients, guarantees regular opportunities for you to contribute significantly.
Duties
In this role your duties will include but are not limited to:
• Personal care support
• Daily living tasks such as light domestic duties
• Support mobility and transfers
• Facilitate community outings
• Promote and encourage independence
• Support and manage challenging behaviours
• Maintain accurate documentation and monitor client behaviour
• Engage in ongoing training essential to the role.
About you
We are looking for caring individuals with attributes such as encouragement, attentiveness, adaptability, excellent communication, and attention to detail. Our staff are understanding and patient toward the needs to others and want to make a difference in people’s lives.
You will have:
• Certificate III in individual Support or equivalent
• National Police Clearance or willing to obtain
• WWVP including NDIS worker check or willing to obtain
• Current certification in First Aid, CPR and manual handling
• Drivers license and access to own vehicle
