Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Disability Support Worker with a background in building and maintenance to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in reading drawings, accurate tape measure and rule readings, woodworking skills and the ability to set up and operate relevant plant machinery. Building skills, either as an ex-builder, someone experienced in manufacturing kitchens or cupboards, or a builder's laborer, will be highly advantageous. The role involves working with various materials such as timber and steel, along with grounds maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret drawings accurately.
- Perform precise tape measure and rule readings.
- Demonstrate woodworking skills, excluding arts and craft.
- Set up and operate relevant plant machinery.
- Utilise building skills acquired through previous experience.
- Work with various materials, including timber and steel.
- Assist in grounds maintenance tasks as needed.
- Previous experience as a builder, kitchen/cupboard manufacturer, or builder's laborer. (Desired)
- Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings. (Desired)
- Accurate tape measure and rule reading skills. (Desired)
