The facilitator’s role includes developing strategic referral pathways with services such as maternal and child health services, early childhood education and care services and family support services to ensure that families receive services appropriate to their needs.
The responsibilities of this role include running Supported Playgroups (incorporating the Smalltalk program) for disadvantaged families and also providing in-home support.

QualificationsEssential
Diploma in early childhood education / teaching, children’s services, community services, social welfare, social work, maternal and child health registered nurse or equivalent qualification.
Driver license valid in Victoria

ExperienceEssential
Demonstrated experience in facilitating groups and engaging disadvantaged and/or vulnerable families to ensure their participation in Supported Playgroups and in-home support.
Key selection criteria 1Demonstrated understanding of child development and play-based learning.
Key selection criteria 2Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to negotiate outcomes, engage with varied groups, and prepare and present reports and case notes as required.
Key selection criteria 3Proven ability to monitor, track and prioritise own workload to meet set requirements within determined time-frames.
