Reporting to the Surface Services Coordinator and working as part of the CHPP team, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the safety, compliance and associated maintenance/and or project requirements of Ashton's surface assets including voids, rail corridor, surface roads and mine surface infrastructure. You will also be required to:
- Coordinate routine inspections and maintenance requirements for the CHPP and mine surface infrastructure
- Identify opportunities and deliver technical solutions to ensure CHPP & mine critical assets meet targets
- Maintain compliance with Ashton HSEC and legislative requirements
- Encourage continuous improvement initiatives across site
- Effectively manage contractors and coordinate additional labour as required
Job Tasks and Responsibilities

- Qualifications in Risk Management and Safety
- Strong understanding of both Surface Mining and Preparation Plant operations
- Contractor management experience
- Highly developed communication skills and ability to build effective relationships
- Safety conscious with previous exposure to risk management processes
- In depth knowledge of plant and machinery in the mining environment
- Self-motivated and results driven
- Ability to effectively negotiate with and influence others
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role with understanding of the CHPP environment
- Previous project management experience
