What this opportunity involves:
As a Sustainability Analyst, you play a key role in the Energy and Sustainability team supporting and implementing sustainability initiatives and data analysis for a well-known banking client. You will be responsible for analysing data, conducting research, and providing recommendations to drive sustainable practices across various aspects of the business.
An Overview of the role:
- Data management - collect, analyse, and interpret data related to energy consumption, water usage, waste management, greenhouse gas emissions, and other sustainability metrics.
- Analysis - reviewing and refining technical aspects of sustainability data and initiatives relating to energy, waste, water and environmental management to drive improvements across the portfolio.
- Stakeholder engagement - present sustainability performance metrics to key stakeholders.
- Reporting – produce regular (monthly, annual) sustainability performance reports.
- Problem solving – assist with identifying sustainability improvement opportunities and work with key stakeholder to proactively address issues.
- Communications – prepare communications and actively engage with Facility Managers and other key stakeholders to understand and reduce environmental impacts.
- Project management – Support identifying opportunities for environmental improvement, prepare business cases and work with the Project and Facility Management teams to deliver client approved projects.
- Research – contribute to research and analysis on sustainability best practices, industry trends, and technological advancements.
Sounds like you? This is what we are looking for:
You have a passion for sustainability issues and will be university qualified in Data, Sustainability, Science, Engineering or a related field.
Ideally you have 1-2 years industry experience in a sustainability role working in the built environment, corporate strategy, or technology industries.
Employee Requirements:
- Ability to deliver Sustainability Reporting projects such as Energy Use Intensity Benchmarking, and Mandatory and Voluntary Disclosures
- Ability to assist with implementing Sustainability Initiatives such as Energy Conservation Measures, Behaviour Change Programs, or Technology Integrations
- Experience contributing to process improvement or technology deployment initiatives and proven capability to deliver best practice sustainability performance
- Experience working with large companies and presenting reports and findings
- Strong skills in excel, exposure to environment management software highly regarded
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
