What's on offer?

We are looking for a Sustainability Graduate to join our dynamic Construction business based in Eight Mile Plains. This presents an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to work on major civil construction and infrastructure projects and will provide you with an opportunity to work as part of a dynamic team with support and mentoring throughout your career. The role will work directly with senior sustainability colleagues and have interface with industry through suppliers and projects.

You will have sustainability as a key driver for your career and want to explore improvements in Environmental and Social Governance of large organisations. You will be driven to ensure carbon emissions are accounted for and wherever possible mitigated or avoided.

What you will do day-to-day:

  • The research and implementation of sustainability initiatives, best practice, and innovative technology solutions on our projects.
  • Assist in preparing project sustainability submissions.
  • Be involved in the development of sustainability documentation including materials / energy / water / carbon calculations, reports, and registers.
  • Be involved in sustainability monitoring and ensuring the results are reviewed and acted upon appropriately.
  • Assist with audits and inspections to assess sustainability performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

You will be:

  • an innovative thinker, with a strong desire to deliver positive outcomes.
  • motivated to innovate and lift BAU practices to improve sustainability outcomes; Display strong communication, writing, and time management skills.
  • Have good attention-to-detail and be able to manage technical data and analytics.
  • Have a bachelor's degree in Sustainability, or a related discipline (e.g. Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering).
  • Driven to improve your technical and professional skills with the help of Fulton Hogans career development framework and training avenues.
  • Own a valid driver's license.
