About the role
We are looking for an experienced Sustainment Engineer - Lead with NV2 security clearance to be part of an exciting Defence project to start in July 2024 for a period of 3 years. Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, the Sustainment Engineer - Lead has overall responsibility for ensuring integrity between DDG and JSF Information Systems (IS).
About you
Responsibilities and Key SFIA 6 Skills:
- Management of integration points between F-35 IS and DDG Enterprise systems, in particular, providing assurance to planned BAU upgrades/changes where integration boundaries are potentially impacted.
- Provision of SME support to JSF IS personnel, including providing technical support to Test Events or attending Change Advisory Boards as appropriate.
- Management of planned upgrades/changes (Work packages) across the F-35 Enterprise where integration with DDG Enterprise systems is required, in particular where engineering Design changes are required.
- Oversight of work packages where delivery is provided by third party providers, including assurance of all works completed.
- Oversight of work packages completed by SIEOPS Sustainment Engineers.
- Identifying spares levels to enable timely break/fix of GFX hardware.
- Leads the development of architectures for complex solutions, ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed with both external, and internal customers.
- Takes full responsibility for the balance between functional, service quality and systems management requirements within a significant area of the organisation.
- Establishes policy and strategy for the selection of solution architecture components, and co-ordinates design activities, promoting the discipline to ensure consistency.
- Ensures that appropriate standards (corporate, industry, national and international) are adhered to.
- Manages the target design, policies and standards, working proactively to maintain a stable, viable architecture and ensure consistency of design across projects within the programme
- NV2 essential.
- Minimum 5 years experience ideally with Defence or Federal Government.
- Any previous experience with MPI Air 6000 (F-35 Lightening) a distinct advantage.
