SalarySwan Reach Area School is a P-12 small school situated on the picturesque River Murray. We are centrally situated 40 minutes from the Barossa Valley, Riverland and Murrayland districts. Copper Coast.
We are looking for a Year 5/6 teacher to join our team. The Year 5/6 class is projected to have 16 students in 2024. The school features large classrooms, a school community library, a school community pool, tech studies area, visual arts area, Home Ec facilities, 3D printers, gardening area, large oval, nature play area, 3 playgrounds and well-maintained school grounds. SSO support is provided to each classroom as needed and the school has a Pastoral Care Worker two days a week.
The position requires working collaboratively with other members of the primary and whole school teams. Literacy and numeracy are our curriculum priorities and involve the development and implementation of a range of high impact learning strategies, outlined in the site improvement plan (Phonics and Big Ideas in Number) that support learner's needs and backgrounds.

What you will do:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the unique needs and interests of your students
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support student achievement and well-being
- Maintain accurate student records and support individual learning plans
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field
- Current registration as a teacher with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia
- Proven experience teaching primary school students, preferably within a public-school setting
- Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and its effective integration into lesson planning and delivery
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
- Passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment
