The Opportunity
The Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre (MAC) is seeking an appropriately qualified and suitably experienced Swim School Liaison Officer to support the efficient and effective administration of the MACqua Education and Schools Swimming and Water Safety Program. In this role, you will also assist Aquatic Programs Team Leader with staffing and program planning to meet service level targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with the Aquatics Program Team Leader, undertake administrative tasks and duties to ensure the program administration, program planning and financial information is up to date
- Liaise and communicate effectively with schools, participants and parents/guardians to ensure positive outcomes
- Ensure that all customer difficulties and queries are responded to effectively and efficiently, and in an appropriate and timely manner
- Assist with emergencies regarding shift coverage, including relief teaching whenever required, and facilitate back-up teaching coverage
- Contribute to the maintenance and development of team rosters, ensuring that service delivery levels are met
- Instruct specialist classes where rostered as a regular instructor and as a fill in when required
- Consistently enforce MACqua Education Team policies and procedures to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have the following:
- Experience in the development and design of learn to swim and water safety programs administration
- Experience teaching swimming and water safety in a busy aquatic facility
- Australian Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certification (SISSS00132)
- Australian Teacher of Swimming elective qualifications to work in specialist areas
- Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011)
- Resuscitation Certificate (HLTAID009)
- Working with Children Check — Employment version
- No relevant criminal record found in a police check.
