About Us:
We’re a fast growing, independent Swimming Pool servicing company based out of Norwood, South Australia. Right now, we are a premium pool servicing and equipment supply company with a waiting list of customers. But we have a vision which will allow us to venture into new areas of the industry in a few short years.
Elliot Baker, the Founding Director, has been in the industry for nearly 17 years. Elliot started Adelaide Pool Co. at the age of 31, out of the carport of his home in December 2019 and has since grown the business to 300+ regular maintenance customers with a respectable fleet of vehicles.
We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service and advice. After all, our customers are just like us – friendly and straightforward; and we proactively work to keep it that way! We're fortunate to serve most of our customers in the eastern suburbs of Adelaide and the picturesque Adelaide Hills. Their stunning properties contribute to a truly enjoyable work lifestyle. We operate out of an office/warehouse in Norwood shared by other young business owners (wine producers, a photographer, and designers) where we enjoy BBQ, play table tennis and chew the fat together in our spare time.
We are on the hunt for some experienced and committed team members to expand our growing business further in the industry.
About You:
To be successful with us, you must be a self-motivated critical thinker with a passion for working outdoors. You possess a good understanding of pool servicing, water chemistry and pool equipment installations.
You uphold high standards and take pride in your workmanship. You enjoy working independently but are also effective in collaborating within a team.
You are an excellent communicator. You enjoy meeting new people, are personable and enjoy friendly banter. You take pride in your appearance and show respect to others and their property.
Most importantly: You are a good person. You are honest, reliable, and treat others how you expect to be treated. You love a pub feed and don’t take yourself too seriously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regular Pool Servicing: There will be a tailored run of residential and commercial pools for you to manage on a daily basis. Develop a strong professional relationship with our customers by providing expert advice and excellent workmanship.
- Client Management: Monitor ongoing maintenance procedures. Show initiative by planning team procedures ahead of time. This will involve concise communication with team leaders and the client.
- Equipment Installations: Install a huge variety of pool equipment. Everything from filters and chlorinators to automation systems and electric heat pumps.
- Team Work and Leadership: Get involved in the team chat, help other team members when necessary. Share ideas, problem solving techniques and general knowledge. Become a valued team asset. Your contribution and opinion is valued and will be key in your success.
- Stock Management: Assist with deliveries and warehouse duties
As our business expands, we'll be venturing into new areas, so adaptability will be advantageous. Your eagerness to grasp new facets of the industry will be beneficial.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years doing this work, with results and knowledge to prove it
OR… a trade background with enthusiasm to learn a new skillset
- Strong time management skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem solving skills
- Capable of identifying equipment faults and sales opportunities in the field
