About the role
The City are seeking experienced and qualified swimminginstructors to join their Leisure Services Team.
Your role is to teach and supervise participants during swimminglessons, teaching the “Learn to Swim” program andkeeping adequate records. You maintain a high level of WorkplceHealth and Safety at all times and ensure Aqua Jetty’spolicies and procedures are adhered to.
You have a passion for helping people reach their goals and useyour interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and relate toa diverse group of people. You have previous swimming teachingexperience and a keen knowledge of related principles and othermatters, including emergency procedures.
Essential requirements for this position:
- Current AUSTSWIM Certificate – Teaching of Swimming and Water Safety or equivalent.
- Current Provide First Aid Certificate.
- Current CPR Certificate.
- Current Working with Children Check
- Ability to provide a National Police Clearance
In applying for this role, you will be considered for work atboth Aqua Jetty and the Rockingham Aquatic Centre. The centresoperate seven days a week including early morning and evenings.Applicants must be flexible and available to work in line with thefacilities opening hours.
What we offer
You will be paid $60,256 per annum pro-rata, which equates to$30.49 per hour.
