About the role We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Operations & Maintenance team based at our Mitchell Depot in Bairnsdale. This Network Operations team plays an essential role in ensuring the continuity of supply of water and sewer services to customers through both planned maintenance activities and reactive works. This position will work collaboratively with a diverse team to ensure the efficient operations and maintenance of below and above ground infrastructure across the Mitchell region. About you The ideal candidate would have the ability to adopt and display East Gippsland Waters trademark values and behaviours, along with the commitment to providing a quality essential service to the community. We are looking for someone with a problem-solving aptitude, who can work well autonomously and in a team environment, who possesses a positive attitude towards personal development. Demonstrated experience in plumbing, drainage, pipe laying, or civil construction along with sound knowledge of pumps, potable water and sewer infrastructure is highly desirable for the position. Proficiency in the use of plumbing/water industry related machinery, hand and power tools would also be greatly advantageous for the role.
