Switchboard Estimator / Project Manager

Switchboard Estimator/Project Manager required for an ongoing full time position based in Hobart.

Our company has been Hobart based for over 30 years covering a wide array of projects across Australia. We specialise in commercial and industrial across small to large scale projects including Aquaculture.

Due to our growth we are looking to hire a skilled and experienced Electrical Switchboard Estimator / Project Manager to join our team.

Applicants with a min of 2 years of experience in Electrical Switchboard Design and Estimating will be considered, Autocad experience is an advantage but not necessary as training will be provided.

Relocation cost constribution for Mainland Applicants who might consider to move to Tasmania are possible.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
 

• Interpreting and analysing consultant drawings, including SLD and specifications. 
• Create detailed technical drawings, schematics and diagrams for LV switchboards, field wiring and control panel installations. Adhering to the Australian standards.
• Ensuring that all drawings from the design team are compliant to AS/NZS 61439 and the national wiring and service rules. 
• Experience and knowledge in type testing and switchboard compliance 
• Complete design calculations such as fault current, temp rise, cable selection, protective device selection 
• Liaise with key stakeholders - clients, estimators, project management, workshop personnel, and suppliers

  
Your Experience and Skills:
 

• A background in switchboard manufacture and / or sheet metal manufacture would be highly regarded
• The ability to interpret the current switchboard standard AS/NZS 61439
• Electrical trade or Engineering qualification highly regarded
