As a Switchboard Operator, you will be the first point of contact for callers, directing enquiries, and connecting them to the appropriate departments.Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating the hospital switchboard: Efficiently handling incoming and outgoing calls.
- Assisting patients: Providing courteous and helpful responses to their queries.
- Coordinating emergency calls: Ensuring swift and accurate communication during critical situations.
- Maintaining accurate records: Logging calls and messages.
What you'll need to succeed
- Excellent communication skills: Clear and professional phone etiquette.
- Attention to detail: Accurate message-taking and call routing.
- Adaptability: Ability to handle high call volumes and urgent requests.
- Empathy: Compassion when dealing with patients and their families.
- Availability: Full-time availability with shift work.
- Be able to work shifts Monday to Sunday from 07h00 to 23h00. (8.5 hours per shift)
- Able to work 10 Night Shifts a year from 23h00 - 07h00.
