The Central Coast Local Health District offers both a wonderful lifestyle and opportunity for growth and development in your career in a values focussed District. We are currently seeking a Telephonist Level 2, Switchboard Operator to join our team.
This recruitment may be used to fill future positions via an eligibility list for temporary full time, temporary part time, and casual positions.

About the Role
The Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) Switchboard Operator is an essential service for the district, and is responsible for dealing with patients, their families and carers, the general public and internal stakeholders. Your ability to deal with people in a professional and empathetic way is crucial to the wider Caring for the Coast strategy, as this position can be the first point of contact for many callers. The CCLHD Switchboard is a 24-hour department which operates seven days a week. Initially you will not be required to work the night shift.
You will responsible for managing incoming and outgoing calls for all CCLHD sites. This service includes the management of all medical and non-medical emergencies across Gosford, Wyong, Woy Woy and Long Jetty sites. The CCLHD Switchboard operator is also responsible for managing and maintaining paging services across the district.
