Switchboard Receptionist

About the role:
Maitland Hospital is a growing hospital and the Switchboard Reception role plays a pivotal role in supporting all services within with facility.
While the main function of the role is answering all incoming calls, the Switchboard operator is a central hub of information for visitors and staff. There are numerous customer enquiries and reception duties within this role. After hours, this role assists with all live data and emergency presentations.
The role is fast paced and supports the facility 24/7.
Where you’ll be working:
- Maitland Hospital is a health facility for the Upper and Lower Hunter Regions. The urban/rural population serviced is approximately 72,000 and incorporates Maitland, Cessnock, Kurri Kurri, Singleton, Muswellbrook, Dungog and Raymond Terrace. The hospital is located 35 minutes from the John Hunter Children's Hospital and transport by air or road is facilitated by NSW Ambulance Services.
