The OpportunityAs a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for engineering activities across JP9347-1 CE1 Joint Interface Control (JIC) System capability delivery.
This requires working closely with the acquisition team to ensure the project is supported across required engineering tasks for the delivery through introduction into service of the JIC Systems capability.
The RoleAs a key member of the team, you’ll support the planning and execution of the project’s Engineering Program, ensuring its smooth operation and alignment with project objectives.
Your tasks will encompass participating in engineering engagements with industry partners, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and developing valuable engineering advice for project leadership.
Additionally, you’ll review contract deliverables within your scope of competence and provide support for whole-system level certification activities.
Your role will be instrumental in driving the project’s engineering efforts forward, contributing to its success and adherence to defence policy and guidance.
The Ideal PersonThe ideal candidate for this role is a dedicated engineer with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aeronautical discipline, accompanied by stage 1 or 2 professional engineering competencies recognised under the Washington Accord. With a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in Defence engineering programs, you possess a deep understanding of engineering plans, procedures, and outcome reporting, as well as Data Item reviews.
Your proficiency in stakeholder management and ability to work independently with diverse stakeholders make you an asset to the team.
A Negative Vetting 1 security clearance is required for this role.
Salary / Rate- $150/hr – $180/hr incl super
- 14 month contract
